Dinokriegmon

In the battlefields of a time long forgotten, there was once a titanic Dinosaur Digimon named DinoKriegmon. He was a bloodthirsty warrior who, like many other Digimons in that era, believed in the law of nature. The law which decreed that only the strong is fit to live. However, DinoKriegmon also had a greater ambition. He wanted his name to become a legend as the most powerful being in the Digital World that was feared by all, and thus, he mercilessly slaughtered all who dared to challenge him in combat. DinoKriegmon eventually managed to climb all the way to the top of the food chain and became the “King of the Battlefield”, wearing the skulls of his defeated foes as his armor. He became the strongest Digimon in his time. Then as he ruled over many Digimons, he began to enforce his ideal to its fullest.

“Only the strongest have the right to fight and survive.”

But some Digimon disagreed with his ideal. They were the Digimons who were at the bottom of the food chain. They were Digimons like Agumon Hakase. He was just a normal Agumon who possessed a high level of intelligence, but lacking the ability to evolve. Agumon Hakase simply wished for everyone to appreciate and treat each other equally. And for that reason, he spent most of his lives inventing many things that could benefit all Digimons and end the pointless wars, until he ended up introducing the concept of technology itself into the Digital World. He shown the Digimons with a similar fate as his own what technology can do and how powerful it can make them become. At first, he helped weak and oppressed Digimons gain strength through technological body modifications, such as giving them cybernetics and mechanical body parts. A Digimon who once was a Greymon became a MetalGreymon, a Tyrannomon became MetalTyrannomon, and the list goes on. Then he began to teach them the concept of equality and how it could benefit Digimons as a whole. He hoped that these modified Digimons would acknowledge others about what it's like to be on the bottom and spread his ideal.

Agumon Hakase’s plan went well for a little while. Most Digimons stopped fighting and began to respect each other. Then as time goes on, his technology became the dawn of a new age. What was once a world filled with endless conflicts became a world of peace. Many Digimons started to consider the path which DinoKriegmon had enforced to them a relic of the past and embraced equality as the new way of life. Unfortunately, the modified Digimons were soon intoxicated by their own power. They became violent and reverted back to believe in the law of nature.

On the other hand, DinoKriegmon considered the new era as an insult on his beliefs. He, who had spent many years seeking for “True Strength” and fought all the way to the top, must see these weak Digimons using shortcuts to obtain power. DinoKriegmon deemed many of them unworthy of the power they had received from Agumon Hakase, since he believed that one could only gain “True Strength” through intense training and conviction, not through machines. Therefore, he wished to put an end to the new age and proved to all Digimons that his path to strength is righteous. He would even wreak havoc across the land in his mission if he had to.

Meanwhile, Agumon Hakase eventually realized the error of his decision. Although he hated to admit it, but he concluded that the world was not yet ready for technology. So he asked DinoKriegmon for help to stop the monsters he had created. DinoKriegmon claimed that he would have done that on his own even if Agumon Hakase had not begged for his help. And despite his disdain towards Agumon Hakase for what he had done, DinoKriegmon still decided to help him not only to prove that the strength he had obtained from his hardships was superior to the strength gained from technology. He also believed that in order to prevent this whole ordeal from happening again, he needed to be something more than just a powerful being. He needed to be an inspiration for others, especially for the weaker Digimons who were on the verge of abandoning the path to “True Strength”. DinoKriegmon would have to become a living proof that anyone could become a mighty Digimon through rigorous training and iron-will alone, and he would do so through defeating the modified Digimons. Not to mention that it would also solidify his place in legend.

As DinoKriegmon and Agumon Hakase hunted down each of the modified Digimons, they became quite used to each other’s company. Agumon Hakase served as the brain of the duo while DinoKriegmon served as the brawn. Then when they weren’t fighting, they would occasionally rest and get to know each other. They would even share their ideals to each other. Although they never reached an agreement, but DinoKriegmon respected Agumon Hakase’s wish to live in a better world. In contrast, Agumon Hakase himself respected DinoKriegmon’s wish to inspire others to improve themselves. It was not long before they considered each other as equals, a fact that DinoKriegmon had a difficult time to admit.

Many years passed since both Digimons had begun their journey. DinoKriegmon descended onto the battlefield where he proceeded to destroy the remaining modified Digimons in an all-out war until he met face-to-face with RustTyrannomon and Ultimate Brachimon, the strongest and most powerful of all the modified Digimon. They were two of the first few weak Digimons who Agumon Hakase had helped with his technology. But now their bodies are no longer flesh and blood but metal and wires. DinoKriegmon charged at the two Digimons. The battle went for hours as neither sides are able to beat the other even though it was two against one. It looked like this battle would never end when suddenly Agumon Hakase called out begging for the battle to stop. This caused DinoKriegmon to stand down while Agumon Hakase tried to reason with his creations. However, they no longer listened to him. They stated that the words of weaklings meant nothing to them before they killed him in cold blood. Seeing his friend murdered right in front of him sent DinoKriegmon into a rage. He attacked with no mercy as he fought against them with all his might. The Berserker Digimon would fight relentlessly against the two Digimons. But in the end, his path to strength is the true one. Once it was all over, he approached Agumon Hakase’s lifeless body and promised him that despite he is nowhere near as powerful as DinoKriegmon, Agumon Hakase shall forever be his only equal, and he would continue to inspire others so that these events would never happen again.

But because of his feats, he unbeknowingly became a hero to the Digimons of his world. As there are those who seek power for their own gains, there are also those who seek power to punish evil. However, those who wish to fight evil are usually the weakest of Digimons, and there is a chance that they will do anything to be the strongest, especially if they never manage to accomplish their goals. DinoKriegmon serves as a reminder and inspiration to gain strength through their own efforts, to not take any shortcuts, and carry on fighting down the path of nature. He had changed from the personification of the old age to the personification of true strength. Later on, he would carry on his journey and never stop to inspire all Digimons around him long until his age had caught up to him. He looked forward to seeing his friend again. Then as he passed away, his legend became further spread as others would take up the difficult path of keeping his Ideals of True Strength alive for each new generation to learn and grow because of it.
